Objective: The Logistics Coordinator is a critical support role for the Customer Sales Team. Their main objective will be the successful operational execution of the life of the load from order entry through delivery. To be successful in this role you need to be able to take instruction from multiple people, move at a fast pace, multitask, and be comfortable making decisions based off of limited information.
Experience:
- Ideal candidate has 6-12 months of general logistics experience, but no experience is requiredParticipating in a fast-paced, high-energy workplaceBuilding and developing strong relationshipsSavvy tech user with the ability to learn new systems with easeUnderstanding urgency and time critical operations to support the needs of the sales reps
Highly motivated, enthusiastic, and self-driven
Job responsibilities:
- Accept orders from customers
- Build orders in Transportation Management System (TMS)
- Schedule appointments and track drivers to ensure on time pick up and delivery
- Communicate potential failures to customer sales team
- Assist in the completion of “customer playbook” for accounts
- Participate in customer onboarding with intent to become the subject matter expert of each account
- Follow best practices for meeting/exceeding established metrics/KPI’s
Necessary Skills:
- Passion for customer service
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Inherent sense of urgencyComfortable with multi-tasking
