After Hours-Logistics Specialist
Reports To: Carrier Sales Manager

Job Summary:
This is a remote after-hours position: Monday – Friday afternoons and/or weekends. Onsite training required.
The Logistics Specialist will be responsible for the tracking, monitoring, and communicating shipment statuses to deliver an exceptional positive end-to-end experience. The ideal candidate will possess a can-do proactive attitude with the ability to adapt to ever-changing market conditions.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Transactional Communications: Ensure shipment details and process instructions are accurately communicated, promptly responded to, escalated, tracked, and monitored via applicable communication method or TMS. Answer high volumes of incoming calls.
- Expectation Management: Confirm that each Partner Carrier has an adequate understanding of all customer and company expectations on each load at the point of dispatch.
- Relationship Building: Establish, expand, and cultivate transportation relationships.
- Service Excellence: Communicate with and monitor service providers, such as customs brokers, or trucking companies. Promptly and effectively address, research, and resolve any transportation needs or issues.
- Technology Utilization: Navigate Transportation Management System (TMS) and related technology tools to manage operational tasks compliant with company standard operating procedures.
- Team Collaboration: Partner with internal teams to align carrier capacity with customer demands and operational goals.
- Data Documentation: Ensure all transactions and interactions are accurately recorded in TMS and compliant with company standard operating procedures.
- Market Analysis: Stay up to date on the industry and market with the ability to adapt to the ever-changing market conditions

- Mcleod TMS
- Microsoft office
- Basic understanding in the use of a computer
- Verbal Communication Etiquette

- Basic understanding of the transportation industry
- Basic terminology around carrier contracts and rate agreements
